The Gamma Theta Chapter of Delta Tau Delta fraternity would like to formally welcome you to Baker University. The men of Delta Tau Delta are very excited to kick off the 2014-2015 school year. The administration and executive officers are diligently working toward achieving our goals for this academic year. This starts with working towards our chapter’s sixth Hugh Shields Award, which recognizes us as a top ten chapter nationally. Currently our chapter is focused on fraternity recruitment that begins on the 27th of August. We currently have 23 undergraduate members and are looking to increase our numbers during recruitment by adding quality young men. Gamma Theta Delts are involved in many activities across campus from sports teams to multiple organizations and societies. The men of Gamma Theta, though very involved on campus, continue to maintain academic excellence, continuing to be above the all-male university GPA average of a 3.02 with a 3.2 GPA. Our chapter provides many opportunities for our members by being active in the community and raising money for our national philanthropy JDRF. Gamma Theta also prepares its members for a life of excellence by offering a member education program that provides members with life skills that are beneficial for life during college and after graduation.

Delta Tau Delta provides members with an exceptional shelter to live in while attending Baker University. The shelter was newly renovated in 2010 under the Cap 50 project. Over $500,000 was raised to completely renovate the chapter house. It is equipped with a fully functional kitchen and full-time cook, Mary Pitts. Our house also offers Wi-Fi, DirecTV, and all essential living needs.

The Brothers of Delta Tau Delta are excited to welcome new members into our brotherhood this fall. If you have any questions, please contact one of the following contacts below.

Welcome from GT House Director

My name is Chris Duderstadt, and I am looking forward to being the house director for the Gamma Theta chapter of Delta Tau Delta for the 2014-2015 school year. I graduated from Baker in May of 2013, and had an awesome experience as an active member of Delta Tau Delta. I also currently work part-time with the Lawrence Journal-World newspaper as a sports reporter and copy editor.

As a student at Baker, I was a member of the cross country and track teams and the Baker Orange newspaper staff. I was the sports editor of the Baker Orange for my sophomore and junior years and the editor-in-chief as a senior. I am excited for the opportunity to return to the Delt house to help out the active members and incoming pledge class continue to grow into men of great character.
